FS8600

The new-generation FS8600 series fiber switch is a purpose-built network infrastructure for mission-critical storage services. The Fiber Channel technology and feature deliver unmatched 32 Gbps performance to meet the needs of hyper-scale virtualization, larger cloud infrastructures, and growing flash-based storage environments. FS8600 offers high-density with great scalability. It can be used in enterprise infrastructures of all sizes to support growth, demanding workloads, and data center consolidation for uninterrupted business operations.

Key Features
Flexible scalability to adapt to various businesses

The FS8600 Series Switch is designed for higher flexibility, scalability, and ease of use. Enterprises can expand from 24 ports to 64 ports in a 1U form factor, with 48 SFP+ ports and 4 Q-Flex ports. Each of the 48 SFP+ ports supports an FC speed of 8/16/32 Gbps and each of the 4 Q-Flex ports supports an FC speed of 4 × 32 Gbps.

Frame-based link aggregation combines multiple ISL links into one logical link for efficient bandwidth usage and load balancing.

Excellent service continuity protection

Adopts a non-blocking architecture, providing non-controversial, full-duplex bandwidth. Each switch supports up to 2 Tbps bandwidth.

Features outstanding compatibility and is compatible with storage systems and servers from mainstream manufacturers.

Ease of deployment and management

The FS8600 Series Switch is easy to deploy and manage and can be easily integrated with new and existing IT environments.

Enterprises can expand their storage networks as needed without affecting ongoing services.

Technical Specifications

Hardware Feature

Number of ports per switch:

• In a 1U space, the switch can be expanded from 24 ports to a maximum of 64 ports, including 48 SFP+ ports (with an increment of 12) and 4 Q-Flex ports. Each of the 48 SFP+ ports supports an FC speed of 8/16/32 Gbps and each of the 4 Q-Flex ports supports an FC speed of 4 × 32 Gbps

• Supports multiple FC protocols such as 32 Gb and 16 Gb

• Adaptive Trunking, intelligent path selection

• All ports are universal, auto-discovery, and self-configured, presenting the following port status: E_Port, F_Port, M_Port, D_Port, N_Port

Performance Feature
